Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins again… Restrictor Plate Racing leads to the big one… The big one… BGN has INEXPERIENCE drivers…

Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins again…

The big one came out on lap 4, only this time Dale Earnhardt Jr. missed the big one without getting any damage, unlike the Cup version of the Aaron's 312. Most of the race Joe Nemechek who gets power from DEI (I believe) was leading the race until the final pit stops in which Dale Earnhardt Jr. had a fast stop which pushed him to the front. Junior led the most laps, which was not even a race until Dale Earnhardt Jr. picked up the lead and stayed there for the good part of the race. When the 21-car pileup happened, I thought to myself, well there is the Sauter kid wrecking like last year, then there's poor old Lyndon Amick who didn't need this. More on this later…

Restrictor Plate Racing leads to big one…

Yet again we sit here pondering about why we run 3 races with Plates on the engines, 2 at Daytona, and 1 at Talladega. So is the answer that NASCAR wanted when they started out with the Restrictor Plate was to make this form of racing safer? They have failed in my opinion, you have only caused more of a problem, and yea sure the roof flaps help, but still any driver can be injured in the 'big one' if the situation is right. Plate Racing is an unsafe form of racing and isn't really good. If you want some good racing, find a local short track near you and watch those races, that’s real racing.

The big one…

It's a drivers worse nightmare, the pit crew fear the damaged cars crawling back to their pit stops, and have to earn that $100,000 pay check each time their car comes down pit road. The big one is the worst thing that can happen, and when it happens its like you let 50 cars on the interstate wrecking and spinning right in front of you, it's not a pretty site. Sure, NASCAR loves going to Daytona and Talladega, they own those tracks, and we won't be getting rid of one of them any time soon. And yes, the out of bound line is next in line to be boycotted.

In defense of Darrell Waltrip yet again…

I know old D.W. is a retired NASCAR driver but please, he is a 3 time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion, Wally Dallenbach can't say that about himself. Dallenbach doesn't have no 84 victories, and he doesn’t finish 7th in a truck race at 60 years old. Enough of this Darrell Waltrip can't talk stuff, for those on FOX who have to put up with those dumb idiots who don’t like their coverage, I will defend them until the day I die cause I am fed up with NBC. No offence to Bill Weber or to Matt Yocum or Benny Parsons. Just let me be myself and let "Boogity, Boogity, Boogity" be himself.
