Biffle 2002 Busch Series Champion… Scott Wimmer wins Bashas' 200… Silly Season update… Biffle only driver to win both CTS and BGN titles…Preview: Homestead…

Biffle 2002 Busch Series Champion…

Well you guys knew this was coming, Greg Biffle wins the 2002 Busch Series Championship. Even if Mark Martin doesn't win this year's Winston Cup championship car owner Jack Roush is just as pleased with a Busch Series Championship. Biffle started out racing on the ovals until NBC announcer Benny Parsons, saw him and told Jack Roush about him and that he might want to start a 3rd truck team for Biffle. Roush was very pleased with Biffle in the truck series, but his teammate Kurt Busch was good enough to go straight to Winston Cup. Biffle is happy that he didn't go straight to Cup. Great Job Greg on your first and probally only Busch Series Championship.

Scott Wimmer wins Bashas' 200…

With Biffle winning the championship, Scott Wimmer's win was underrated. Let's put this into a good perspective. Wimmer has won 3 races with out a sponsor. In July, Bill Davis was going to close this team down and run 7 Winston Cup races. Well, Scott didn't want that and they continued and he has now won 3 races. If Keller and Wimmer go at it Wimmer could win the championship for Bill Davis Racing.

Biffle only man to win both CTS and BGN titles…

I guess this is hard to believe, but Greg Biffle is the ONLY man to win both Busch Series Championship and Craftsman Truck Championships. If he wins a Winston Cup, he will be the ONLY man to have done that also. Biffle is adjusting to everything he drives. With both championships and all the wins you must think he has about 3 rooms dedicated to trophies. Biffle is moving to Cup in 2003 and will run a part time BGN schedule also.

Silly Season Update…

Now there is a rumor going around that Kasey Khane will move to the #15 ppcRacing Ford for 2003. The team (ppcRacing) has said if they get a sponsor they will get a driver for the third team. They already field cars for ROTY Scott Riggs, and 2nd place points man Jason Keller. Hank Parker Jr. and his sponsor GNC are rumored to go to Roush Racing in 2003. Team Jessel does appear that it will shut its doors at the end of 2002. With Parker rumored moving to Roush, and Casey Mears rumored to a Hendrick BGN car, and both sponsors are leaving is making Jessel make the decision to close its doors. Wayne Jessel became sole owner of the team in the middle of 2002 and was hoping to move Parker Jr., into Winston Cup in 2004.
