Burton wins Little Trees 300…

Jeff Burton ran another BGN race this weekend, and then he went out and won. Jeff's weekend started out on the right foot, starting second. Burton whipped the field just like Wally Dallenbach hit the wall with only 3 cars on the lead lap. Burton was going to loose the race until Jeff Green, had his share of problems and then ending up winning. Points leader Greg Biffle did ok until Wally Dallenbach got into him sending him to the back of the pack.

Dallenbach finishes race 7th…

Wally Dallenbach, commentator for NBC/TNT, started 13th and finished 7th in just his second start with Tommy Baldwin Racing. Dallenbach drove the Pepsi Dodge to a 7th place finish despite hitting the wall 3 times. Dallenbach will also run the race at Phoenix later in the season.

Grubb still under the weather…

Kevin Grubb didn't start the Little Trees 300 instead Winston Cup driver Jerry Nadeau drove the car. Grubb is still feeling the effects from a wreck at Dover. Team owner has said that Grubb will be back in the #54 Toys "R" Us this week at Memphis.

Hornaday to RCR in 2003…

Ron Hornaday will run the #2 Ac-Delco Chevy next year full time. Hornaday is currently running the #26 Dr. Pepper Chevy. Hornaday has ran for DEI in the Truck Series, DEI in the Busch Series, A.J. Foyt in Winston Cup, Carroll Racing in the Busch Series and now Richard Childress. Hornaday was rumored to run with the #24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy in 2003. But now with Hornaday there Hendrick may end up hiring a driver from Winston Cup.

Kevin Harvick, Johnny Sauter in #21 in 2003…

As part of the new plans for Richard Childress new team. Hershey's who was one rumored sponsor will be the sponsor picking their PayDay candy bar to sponsor the car. Harvick, the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series Champion ran 3 races this year to prepare for the 2003 season. Harvick will run 15-18 races in 2003 with Sauter finishing out the rest of them.

McMurray wins Winston Cup race in second start…
