Burton comes out and wins Mr.Goodcents 300… Casey Atwood may end up back in #27 Brewco Chevy next year… Buschwakers: Are they good or not… Greg Biffle gains points while Jason Keller doesn’t…. Bodine leaves #92… Fedawa in #92 next weekend… Burton comes out and win s Mr.Goodcents 300… It seems like every time that Winston Cup star Jeff Burton steps into his #9 Gain Ford he always is up front or is in victory lane. A race recap. The first 10 laps were all chaos. Drivers just didn’t find the right lanes and were cutting people off. There were 4 cautions within the first 50 laps. But the championship contenders problems were yet to come. Later on Scott Riggs had an engine go bad and all of a sudden 6th place driver Mike "Magic Shoes" McLaughlin was going to move into 5th place. Then second place driver Jason Keller also blew his engine and points leader Greg Biffle finished 4th and gained near 100 points on Keller. Casey Atwood may end up back in the #27 Brewco Chevy next year… BGNRACING.com has learned that Casey Atwood could be fired from his current ride in the #7 Sirius Dodge in Winston Cup and may run a BGN car next year. But the rumor says if he does it will probally be for former team owner Clarence Brewer. Brewer is still looking for a replacement for driver Jamie McMurray. Buschwakers: Are they good… The theme of the last 5 years has been the Winston Cup stars winning on Saturday and getting a lot of info for Sundays. It has worked out in the last 2 season because now the Busch cars are so much closer to the Winston Cup cars than they have before. So in reality its not just about seat time anymore its about setups and strategy. These guys will try things that they would never try in Winston Cup. This weekend the Busch Series is off so that means there is no race results or anything else. So I am going to write about the so-called Buschwakers, and their win it all motivation that gets them the win. Bodine leaves #92… Three races into the 2002 season Herzog Motorsports found it self in a unique situation. With driver Andy Houston released many wondered who would pilot the #92 Excedrin Chevy. The ownership choose Winston Cup star Todd Bodine, who was with out a ride because of the Kmart bankruptcy, was the drive until now. With Reggie Jackson joining the team it would be a great thing to see a great driver. For now there is no replacement in the #92. One would wonder could Stuart Kirby be the driver? Stuart has been racing for Jimmy Spencer but about a month ago he was let go. Clearly Kirby has talent it's just a matter of good equipment. Herzog-Jackson Motorsports has good equipment. To me it just seems like the right mix.
