Next week the NASCAR Busch Series will take to the track at Michigan International Speedway. Although this will be the last event before the Bristol Motor Speedway, Michigan will provide a great race. My pick for the race will be Greg Biffle. Consider this, Biffle has won a truck race there (2000), finished second there (1999) and got his first Winston Cup race at California (a sister track to Michigan) and finished 12th. If that isn't enough to prove to you that Biffle is good at Michigan then consider this, Biffle has 4 wins in his last 10 starts, with 9 top 5's and 10 top 10's. If that isn't a hot streak that what is one?
Petty to field BGN car next year...
This weekend Richard Petty announced that Christian Fittipaldi will drive a Petty Dodge in the NASCAR Winston Cup, NASCAR Busch Grand National, and ARCA to pre pare for the 2004 NASCAR Winston Cup season. Christian is currently driving for Newman-Haas Motorsports in CART and is running a limited schedule with Innovative Motorsports in the NASCAR Busch Series. This schedule is similar to what Ryan Newman ran back in 2001 to get ready for his 2002 Winston Cup ROTY run. What hasn't been said is if the team will run any other cars in 2003 in the Busch Series? Rumor has it that Carlos Contreras will run a team car to Fittipaldi in 2003 but nothing is for sure yet.

Chad Chaffin to race truck in Andy Kirby's honor...
Last month we lost Andy Kirby. Kirby left 3 children behind with little insurance. A fund for the children was setup. To promote the fund and raise money for the Andy Kirby's Children Fund, BGN driver Chad Chaffin drove a #87 Andy Kirby's Children Fund Ford at Nashville Speedway last Saturday. All of the money that the team made was going to be donated to the fund. Chad didn't finish the race but did come out with a check for the charity and handed it to them so they would have some more money for the kids. Chad was a good friend of Andy's and wanted to help the family out in anyway that he could.
