Hank Parker Jr. wins the NetZero 250 on gas mileage...

Who would have guessed Hank Parker Jr. on winning the NetZero 250? I sure didn't think so. The race had another gas mileage finish to it. I guess they should rename the track to Gas Mileage Track or something because it just seems like gas mileage is the major part of the track. It does seem like all of the tracks now have some sort of strategy either gas mileage or tire management. Anyway the season that Hank Parker Jr. is having the team needed this. Hank Parker Jr.'s last win came at Fontana in 2001 also won by gas mileage. Truly the team knows something about gas mileage. Great job Hank!

Greg Biffle doesn't win but does well...

Once again Greg Biffle is close to winning another race. Even though he finished second and has a top 5 finish. I think that's 9 top 10's in the last 9 races. Truly the Roush Racing #60 team is going for the championship. If Greg does it will be the 2nd championship for Biffle in his NASCAR career. His other came in 2000 with the #50 Grainger Ford CTS team. And granted the team is the same and Greg has a good car owner and a good set of notes (old Mark Martin #60 Winn Dixie notes).

Lepage leads a bunch of laps but comes up short after pitting for gas...

Kevin Lepage has done a great job as a sub for the #37 team. I guess there will be some talks about were Jeff Purvis would go if the team doesn't want him. I think that Brewco should try and see if they can get sponsorship for the #27 and if they don't let Kevin drive the car because he can do great under pressure like he is doing now. It would be great to see what Kevin can do with a great team like Brewco Motorsports.

Preview: IRP...

Yes its time to pack the bags for the NASCAR Busch Series and go to its annual visit to IRP. IRP is a short track by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway its just a few miles away from INDY. Every year the NASCAR Busch Series runs there and has a great race. This year should be no exception unless there is rain. It's going to be on at 8:00 EDT or 7:00 CDT on Saturday. It's a 250-mile race meaning 250 laps. My pick for this race will be Jason Keller. Not only did Jason get his last pole here he has a great winning record here. He won here in 1999 sat on the pole in 2000 and nearly won the race in 2000. Not to mention it is his favorite track so I think Jason Keller will win.
