Jeff Sparker back in #94 for July 5th Daytona race...
Even after a near-fatal crash at the Nazareth Speedway on May 29th, Jeff Purvis and his fiancée Margo Turner got married. Jeff and Margo did plan this wedding a long time ago but after the crash had to cancel the reception, but on Saturday they exchanged vows. "I am getting better", said Purvis. "Everyday gets a little better, but I still have a long way to go". Still after the crash many, including his family and friends, want Jeff to give up racing because they don't want him to get hurt again. Jeff says that he will make a decision very soon on whether or not will he race a stock car again.
Buckshot Jones may run October BGN or Cup race...
Buckshot Jones, former driver of the #44 Georgia Pacific Dodge, said that he will run either the NASCAR Winston Cup race at Atlanta or the BGN race there. Many reports say that Buckshot has sponsorship to run Cup and some think his BGN team is closed. On his web page (buckshot.com) it says that Buckshot has a 'big announcement' at the end of June concerning his future in the NASCAR division. What it didn't say is what series the announcement would be for. We'll just have to wait until then to find out the information.
Bill Davis, Scott Wimmer move to Cup...
As reported on the Midweek report Scott Wimmer, and car owner Bill Davis plan to close up shop and run 7 NASCAR Winston Cup races starting at Chicagoland. This move comes after the team made a choice that they would not run anymore BGN races due to sponsorship problems. Siemens, the teams sponsor for 17 BGN races, will sponsor the team for the 7-race venture into Cup. What is still in the air is what will happen after the seven races. Will the team go to more Cup races or will try to finish the remaining races that they have sponsorship in the BGN?

Jeff Sparker who left the #94 team for a while will come back to drive the #94 car for the July 5th Daytona/GNC Live Well 200. No word on sponsorship for the race.
