Dale Earnhardt Jr. returns to the BGN for race #2 in his schedule, Jeff Green holds off teammate. Junior and Taz? David Green in the #37 or #31? Dale Earnhardt Jr. returns... Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes his second start of the year in the #3 Nilla Wafers Chevy. He started his weekend off with the NASCAR Busch Series race. Lowe's Motor Speedway was supposed to be Junior's last start in the Busch Series for the year but last minute announcements made Junior's start at Lowe's Motor Speedway his second start in the famed #3 Chevy. Junior qualified the Richard Childress Racing's Chevy in the 11th spot. Then on Saturday Junior ran the race. From 11th he came up to 4th in the order. Then he spun and wrecked his car. Juniors second run in the #3 ended in a down note. Green holds off teammate to win CarQuest 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.... Part of NASCAR's 900- mile weekend at the Lowe's Motor Speedway the CarQuest Auto Parts 300 took place on Saturday. Ron Hornaday, who won the pole on Friday afternoon, led the field of 43 to the green flag. Then after 20 laps Bobby Hamilton Jr., who won at New Hampshire Speedway took the lead. Then after the final round of pit stops Jeff Green took the lead from teammate Jay Sauter, who was filling in for his younger brother Johnny. Jeff had to hold off the hard charging Greg Biffle to win his 2nd race of the year and his 2nd with RCR. Not only was Jeff Green celebrating a win, Kevin Lepage was celebrating his 6th place finish for the #37 TimberWolf Chevy. Junior to run Richmond? Black paint Scheme? Look for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to return the #3 to a black paint scheme and run it at Richmond. It will be a part of the Looney Tons Rematch race this year. He and one other BGN team will carry a Looney Toon character on their racecar. This will be Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s fourth start in the 2002 season and his third will be at Daytona. His Daytona car is waiting to be unveiled so stay tuned for that information. Green in #37 or #31? Will David Green run the #31 car or the #37 car at Dover? At NHIS race on FX it said that David Green would fill in the #31 car for the next two starts. Not only is he supposed to fill in for Johnny Benson he will fill in for Jeff Purvis? Also want to pass along that Johnny Benson WILL not run any race cars other than his #10 cup car so someone will drive the #31 car.
