With the Busch Series Championship banquet in the books, the end of the 2004 season has officially arrived. Needless to say, it was a stellar season for the top competitors. Five of the top ten drivers exceeded one million dollars in earnings for the season. The new Champion, Martin Truex Jr., exceeded over 2.5 million, setting a Busch Series record as the top all-time money winner. Greg Biffle had exceeded the two million mark at the end of the 2002 season with a previous record of 2.2 million.

This season, Biffle, Ron Hornaday, Jason Keller, and David Green all exceeded the one million mark in series earnings. Keller ended up being the all-time Busch Series money winner with a total of over 9.3 million.

Brewco Motorsports has done a complete turnaround with the team. The #37 is gone for 2005 as well as the Chevy model. They will be fielding a Ford and have made a deal with Rusty Wallace Racing to use the 66 number. That's not all; the driver for at least half of the season's events will be Greg Biffle, along with the Duraflame Inc. sponsorship. With five Busch Series wins in the 2004 season, finishing third in points, the team and Duraflame are excited about the prospects of seeing the yellow colored #66 Ford in Victory Lane several times. The addition of Roush Racing engines and technical assistance, is just icing on the cake.

David Green, the former driver of the #37 Brewco Chevy will be moving, crew along in tow, to the #27 which will also be a Ford, supplied with Roush Racing engines. Green is excited about the switch and the new Kleenex sponsorship. Green enjoyed sponsorship from Wolf Tobacco for years, but they have left the major sponsorship scene.

Evernham Motorsports is fielding a Busch Series Dodge for a female driver for at least three events in the upcoming 2005 season. Erin Crocker, a hot new female racing star, will be running the USAC Silver Crown Series, the ARCA/RE-MAX Series and the Busch Series with in a developmental deal backed by Evernham Motorsports.

Crocker will drive a car owned by Kasey Kahne Motorsports in the USAC Silver Crown Series next season, as well as an Evernham Dodge in three ARCA events and three Busch Series events. The 23 year old World of Outlaws Spring Car race winner is excited to be moving up the ladder with the guidance of ray Evernham. Being the first woman to win a Sprint Car race, she raced the entire season last year in the winged sprint cars and has been racing since the early age of seven. The college graduate is bound to make good in one of the three series she'll be debuting in. Although, we have to keep in mind that her tenure is only part of a developmental process and she shouldn't be judged harshly for the rookie mistakes that she's bound to make. Good luck Erin!
