Kenseth wins 1-800-Pit Stop.com 300…

Winston Cup regular Matt Kenseth won his first race of the 2003 season, at California. The win also gave Kenseth his first win in a Ford in the Busch Series (ran Chevy in past years) and also the first win for the Reiser team with Roush Engines (had another builder). Kenseth believes that running the same car make, as his Winston Cup car will be a positive thing for him in both series. Kenseth also said that he was proud of his crew and of the way the car was set up, in order for him to climb from 20th all the way to first 2 times (the start and after a pit stop problem). This gives the "Buschwakers" their 8th win in the 9 races that have been raced in 2003. Money seems to be the issue this year and that’s what the Cup drivers have.

Bodine may miss Richmond…

Todd Bodine who is still leading the standing for the Busch Series will most likely miss this weekend's race at Richmond due to sponsorship issues. Bodine is not commenting if the team is closing down or if they will run at all in the remainder of the year. Although, my source says at BGNRacing.com, says that the team may race with the help of Team Rensi. Let's just be safe, the situation is still unknown.

Stamina RX to sponsor Wimmer this weekend…

Stamina RX, an all-natural alternative to Viagara, will sponsor the #23 Chevy driven by Scott Wimmer this weekend. Stamina RX was supposed to switch with Stacker 2 at the halfway point of the season, but they decided to kick the sponsorship off with a bang in Richmond. The car will carry reflective decals so it will be a neat looking car for the night race.

Update on Truex Jr.'s test…

Martin Truex Jr. will get his first career start with DEI and Chance 2 Motorsports this weekend at Richmond. Truex Jr. recently tested at Richmond with the car #81. A source replied to BGN on Suite101.com that for some reason it was car #81, although Chance 2 Motorsports has #8 as its number, which leads us to an old rumor, will Junior field 2 cars at Richmond, most likely in the fall?
