I, for one, would really like to know what kind of breakfast cereal Kevin Harvick’s eating. Can you imagine running both the Busch and Winston Cup series? Whew.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the Cheeze-It 250. I think the races this year are just more exciting, in general. The results can be found here at the BGN Racing Site: Cheeze-It Results Mike Dillon, who was taken to the hospital for a cat-scan and x-rays, is fine. I wasn’t very familiar with Mike’s career, so I took the liberty of looking up a few things about him.

- Drives the #21 Chevrolet owned by Richard Childress
- Primary Sponsor : Rockwell Automation
- Crew Chief : Gil Martin
- Born Feb 1, 1966, in Lexington, N.C.
- Best finish this year : 18th at the Sam’s Town 350 (not too shabby considering he started 38th)
- Married to Tina Childress, car owner’s daughter
- Best finish in Busch Series : 1998, finished 12th in points

Mike is also the one of the test drivers for Childress’ Winston Cup cars. Doesn’t sound like too bad of a life, huh?

Alumni Motorsports Bites the Dust,

Well, we saw this one coming. Alumni Motorsports, which is partly owned by former Ohio State football players Mike Tomczak and Jim Lachey, is in hiatus again. Drew West, the general manager, calls it an “operational hiatus.” Don’t you just love spin techniques? Apparently, they still have about a dozen racecars and a few people on the payroll. If they’d quit switching drivers every other day, they might find a little success. If Tomczak and Lachey had been let go for their mistakes during their football careers, they certainly wouldn’t be where they are today. I hope they find somebody and stick with them for an entire season.

Santerre Strikes Again

Andy Santerre, who used to drive for George DeBidart and Innovative Motorsports, is back with a new team. Santerre-Reece Motorsports is co-owned by Santerre and businessman Mike Reece, their web site can be seen here. They only plan to run 8-12 races in the 2001 season, and then a full run in 2002. Andy finished 29th in last week’s race at Bristol, and 23rd in the Alltel 200.

Hi Lili..... I just thought I'd stop by and say "hello."
