Dale Jr. Backs Jeb

Here it is election time again, and soon we will be going into shock due to the lack of NASCAR racing competition to keep up with. At any rate, I was reminded recently of the amount of time and toil that Florida governor Jeb Bush put into the Dale Earnhardt autopsy controversy. Governor Bush went out on a limb backing a bill for the Earnhardt family that was what one would call "constitutionally challenging." During this time, I was in contact with Governor Bush's office on more than one occasion. I believe that this is the reason that I received this email the other day:

"Thought you would be interested to learn that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has offered his support to Jeb Bush in his campaign for re-election as Governor of Florida. Earnhardt will be featured in a radio spot during the upcoming weekend of NASCAR racing, and the text of the radio spot is below:

"This is Dale Earnhardt Jr., and I want to let you all know how proud I am to support Jeb Bush. From everything I've read and listened to, it seems to me he has done a great job as Governor of the state of Florida. Jeb is a strong leader who isn't afraid to make the tough decisions. Agree or disagree with him, you always know where Jeb Bush stands. And Jeb Bush always does what he thinks is best for Florida. I hope you'll agree with me, and elect Jeb Bush, as Governor of Florida."

We hope you will consider joining Dale to support Jeb Bush for re-election as Governor of Florida. While many of you may not be from Florida, we also hope you will consider calling friends and relatives in Florida to support Jeb Bush for Governor.
