National Association of Pit Crew Members

I found the following press release in my Comment section the other day:

NASCAR Winston Cup Jackman Forms Pit Crew Club

The National Association of Pit Crew Members, Inc. is an organization recognizing the efforts of racing pit crew and team members and the contributions that they make to their field. It is a way for these athletes to share information, keep up with track, team and series news as well as a variety of information that they can use to constantly improve their performance. It is a racing pit crew and team member club. And membership has it's privileges. NAPCM members receive nationwide exposure, official NAPCM merchandise, entry into all NAPCM contests and giveaways, member discounts at participating sponsor locations, monthly newsletters, training programs and most of all a feeling that they are recognized for the contribution that they make to racing as a whole. I went to the site and checked it out. There is a link to it at the bottom of this page. It appears that the new organization is open to pit crew members from all types of racing series, not just NASCAR. I would also assume that it may also include crew members involved with racing at local tracks around the country.

One thing that I found at the web site that may be of interest to race fans is an associated membership that is available to all race fans. If any of you are interested, check it out! Here is what they have regarding this at their site:

Race fans love pit crews, its a fact. The NAPCM has had such an overwhelming response by these fans that we have decided to offer limited Associate Memberships as a way for them to support their favorite pit crews. The yearly membership fee is $39.50. Associate members receive the Official NAPCM Associate Member T-shirts, the possibility of winning merchandise signed by pit crews and occasionally a guest spot on the NAPCM website giving us the fans perspective.
