Confusion Solutionslim lead of 58 points over second place driver Jimmie Johnson. Matt Kenseth remains in third with a -224, followed by Jeff Gordon who moved up one spot to fourth listed with a -239. Tony Stewart dropped down one spot to round out the top five listed with a -259. NASCAR's claim to have gotten the field sorting situation under control with their electronic loops fell sorrowfully short of expectations at Pocono. Once again the officials were the cause of long drawn out caution periods which ended up in a sea of controversy which affected the race leader's position. NASCAR admitted that they caused the melee and blamed it once again on human error. The unfortunate African American official who was manning the pit road flag ended up taking the public brunt of the fault, while the pace car driver who failed to move off of pit road to pick up the race leader during the caution didn't even get mentioned. I wonder why? It seems that the biggest problem NASCAR has at the present is to try to find a confusion solution.
