The Quest for the Holy Grail

Arthurian legend appears in later Celtic mythology around the time that Christianity began to play an important role in the myths. And the Quest for the Holy Grail can be related to an earlier story in Celtic mythology. The story tells of the Welsh warlord, Arthur, who journeyed into the perilous underworld with his band of warriors in search of the wondrous cauldron of plenty. Now then, the Holy Grail itself can be equated with the magic cauldrons of earlier Celtic myths. These cauldrons of plenty provided everlasting supplies of food, and they offered wisdom, healing, and sometimes immortality - remember I mentioned that the knights feasted and saw each other with more wisdom and generosity when the Grail appeared to them in the hall? Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

The Holy Grail offered spiritual healing, spiritual growth, and spiritual sustenance. Read on in the coming weeks to find out just who found the Holy Grail...
