writing classes, focusing on writing mysteries and the paranormal.
SUITE: Do you have something you wish to accomplish with the things you write? i.e. enjoyment, challenging, fear…what do you want people to take way with them when they read your writing? Do you ever have a message? AYN: I just want people to enjoy reading what I write. But, because I do so much research into the time periods the unsolved murders occurred in, I’d like them to come away with having learned a little something they never knew before too. SUITE: What time of day do you find you are the most creative? AYN: My ideal time to write is 3 or 4 in the morning, while I’m having my first cups of coffee. I usually write until around 10, take a break to eat and take a nap, then come back about 1 or 2, and rewrite what I wrote that morning. SUITE: Now you are a REAL morning person. Why did it sink? What happened to all the treasures on the ship? How was society affected by the loss of so many lives? We know some of the answers now, of course, but not all. SUITE: Favorite TV show? If you don’t have a favorite mystery, then some other type of TV show that is a favorite. AYN: Law and Order. I love that show, even the re-runs. I’ve actually learned a lot about law in New York from watching it. SUITE: I love that show too. How do you feel about writing? And how does it feel when you are writing? Excited, frustrated, is it just business. AYN: Yes, it is a business, because of all the other things that a writer has to do. But when I’m actually DOING the writing … that’s a
