Reviews of 3 Great Christian mysteries

Here we have 3 Great Christian Mystery/Suspense Books from Bethany House and Promise Press. This week we are offering a triple feature but this time all 3 books are for the Christian mystery fan. These books are both highly recommended if you like your mysteries without sex and certain language-and yet with a definite edge of excitement and suspense. Bethany House offers many such mysteries as well as other types of fiction and non-fiction. If you would like to know more about the books published by Bethany House and their authors, visit their website at: http://www.bethanyhouse.com/ Hopefully in the future I will be able to bring you interviews with some of these authors, and I will be bringing you many more reviews of their books. If you would like to see even more reviews done on Christian books here on this site or if there is a specific author you would like to see me interview, feel free to let me know.

Pacific Hope Bette Nordberg Bethany House Trade Paperback $11.99 ISBN 0-7642-2397-6

PACIFIC HOPE is a tale of suspense and mystery, but it is more a story of relationships. Kate Langston is leaving her husband Mike after finding out he has had an affair, but he is determined to get her back. He convinces her to travel with him on a sailboat to Hawaii. But instead of being a time to rediscover their love, the trip becomes one of danger and treachery that nearly costs them their lives. Mike is being investigated by the FBI because of criminal activity within his software company and nothing and no one is quite what they seem.

This book is as much a story of forgiveness and faith as a book of suspense. An excellent read.

Oxygen John B. Olson & Randall Ingermanson Bethany House Trade Paperback $11.99 ISBN 0-7642-2442-5

“The best word to describe OXYGEN is wow,” shares one of my readers. This book is intense and combines stories of trust and faith, along with suspense and a touch of science fiction as it is set in 2014. In OXYGEN, Valerie Jansen, a microbial ecologist, becomes part of a NASA team of astronauts on a mission to Mars. But the mission is filled with trouble and sabotage that nearly costs the team their lives. If you’re looking for an edge of your seat read with a Christian twist, this is it.

Betrayed Rosie Dow & Andrew Snaden Promise Press 2001 Trade Paperback $10.99 ISBN 1-58660-306-X

Laura McIvor’s perfect life is torn apart when her parents are arrested for selling computer technology and she learns that her fiance is actually a CIA agent who was sent to catch her parents.
