Back to the Animals

Well, it's been a while, and I was somewhat surprised to see my web site alive and well and still in existence. I'd love to tell you I'd been abducted by aliens, swooped up by a flying saucer, or swallowed by the Loch Ness monster. But, I'm afraid, nothing so exotic as that. I've merely been taken up with bouts of ill health and pressured by other commitments.

But I am back, and eager to give this topic another go. I'm hoping to expand the articles to include Mysterious Creatures and Ancient Mysteries, but will have to check that out with my editor first.

Since my last article, Big Cats continue to dominate the Cryptozoology News sites. A farming couple in Wales wants a Native American tracker to hunt a family of big cats. They fear someone will be attacked and maybe killed, but beyond that, they want to prove these animals really do exist.

On another topic, Bigfoot has been sighted in Washington State. A man spotted the hairy, human-like creature near his house, but a search failed to reveal any trace of the creature. Bigfoot has been spotted in Washington before, but these sightings are rare. But in Edmonds, Washington, three anthropologists gathered to examine the cast of a possible Sasquatch footprint. The cast was made in September 2000 by a Bigfoot hunter.

Nessie and sea monsters also made the headlines recently. Strange, unidentified sounds from the depth of the ocean have led scientists to speculate that mysterious giant beasts may lurk in the deep waters of the oceans. Another sea monster is said to have been spotted in the waters of Roemsjoeen Lake in Norway. This is not anything new. Reported sightings of some sort of sea monster in the lake date back to the 1700s.

Meanwhile, in the jungles of South America, it's giant snakes, reputed to be thirty feet in length or longer. These giant snakes are said to inhabit nearly inaccessible Native settlements deep in the jungles of Guyana. In the Native culture, these snakes are religious symbols and are not to be killed.

In coming weeks I'll dig deeper into these and other mysteries. My site, I know, is in dire need of updating. I'll be adding new links, finding new news stories, and writing articles on the Yeti, Nessie, the Mothman and other Cryptozoology puzzles. You'll be learning more about the mysterious chupacabras and big cats that insist on appearing in places where one would least expect them.
