Musicals are fast paced. Personalities add color to the scene an inexperienced actor won’t have.
Musicals lack continuity. Scenes are short and pieced together.
Opposites mean what the character says is not actually what the scene means.
Relationship to the audience is direct and involves the audience.
Character awareness changes must be found quickly by the actor.
It is often more difficult than regular acting – larger theatres require more projection.
