For both the acting and singing portions of your audition it is imperative that you communicate the words as the character. An audition is a very short performance that must showcase what you have to offer and entice the school to choose you for their program. You want to be remembered apart from the other applicants auditioning. Show them believable characters and be as committed as possible to the words your character speaks and the feelings those words induce.
