First semester students are also required to take a course in college level English.
The second semester adds the Introduction to Commercial Dance Careers course, teaching students about the opportunities available in film, television, fashion, music, musical theatre, cruise ships, resorts and industrial productions. Students also take a computer skills course in the second semester. Semester three adds Performance Preparation, a course that prepares students for their final showcase performance. As well as learning the repertoire and choreography, students get immersed in a scenerio that mimics the professional rehearsal process. A production class each week teaches students much of the 'behind the scenes' activities from scheduling to publicizing as well as learning the technical side of mounting a show.
