SHEILA MCCARTHY - a name with the face

Other movies include, "The Day After Tomorrow", "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen", "The Awakening", "Being Julia" and "Geraldine's Fortune". McCarthy's upcoming film, "Bailey's Billion$ is still in production. She will play Peggy Delaney.

McCarthy has also appeared in numerous television series as a guest star (Picket Fences - recurring guest role of Sue Walsh, ENG, Royal Canadian Air Farce, Road to Avonlea, Ray Bradbury Theatre and Alfred Hitchcock Presents) and in several made for T.V. movies and mini series. Ms. McCarthy won a Gemini award (Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role) for her work on the Canadian series, "Emily of New Moon". McCarthy also won two Genie awards for "The Lotus Eaters" and "I've Heard the Mermaids Singing".

Sheila McCarthy's name may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you see her, but her recognizable face and the gamut of performances she has graced audiences with keep her lovingly in the hearts
