discount this valuable resource—you may find many people that you’d never see if all—many of the best musicians mostly work in the studio, or shyly only work at home and don’t get out much.
So just “get out there” and don’t let a lack of funds keep you from meeting the people you need to meet to get your songwriting moving forward. But most importantly, just remember to have fun and package yourself, not just your music, because you are the product as much as it is. Enthusiasm shows, and smiles sell! Keep out there, and keep writing!
