Grow Up To Be A Musician

to do what you do for fun at least, much less if you are actually good at it, and are making serious money. A whiny type doesn't last long at all under those conditions, but a tough adult can. Sadly, the inability to deal with success or failure is what kills many music careers-don't let it get to yours.

Now hopefully you have some good retorts to people who think being a songwriter is somehow an immature decision. True, it has been said that if you can play for a living, you'll never work a day in your life, and be a very emotionally healthy person, but many people sadly never bother to take that risky step to their own fulfillment. Consider yourself one of the best the world has to give, even if you haven't "made it" just yet. The decision to make the attempt and taking that first step puts you miles in front of most folks, so let that fuel you to write your next fantastic piece.

So just keep writing, and keep having fun!
