Nadia Boulanger was the leading teacher of American music composition in the 20th century. Her most famous pupil, Aaron Copland, is call the 'Dean of American music.' Living such a long, productive life allowed her to teach scores of music students, and her legacy lives on to this day in the compositions of some of America's leading composers.
