Also, there is some wonderful history on the Bodhran as well as some very nice pictures.

Instruments of Ireland — Not terribly informative since it is only a list of instrument makers in Ireland, but a nice list of native or common instruments used by the Irish. If you are wanting to cover that sort of thing in class, it will at least be a start, but more Internet surfing would be required for specific instrumental information. Miscellaneous Green Sites

This is a wonderful St. Patrick's Day page. The traditional link is a beautifully done page that gives a brief description of the history of Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland. The fun and games link offers nothing but don't leave the site until you have a look at their holiday pages. They are nicely done and great fun, even though, it appears some of the months are still a work in progress. There are even sections on Columbus Day and Ground Hog day, two areas that aren't "that" easy to find good resources.

Thistles and Shamrocks is an Irish radio broadcast that has been on the air for 14 years. This web site, located at National Public Radio's site, will keep you informed of the artists and music that is to be featured on their broadcasts. Thistles and Shamrocks offers a spotlight that shines on a different artist or aspect of Celtic music each month.
