Timely January Links

The History of Chinese New Year is a wonderful place to visit for getting answers about what exactly Chinese New Year is all about.

Get into the spirit of Chinese New Year and do a little celebrating online by playing some of the terrific shockwave games offered here. I won twelve free entries for their contest. I'm not sure what I might win, because I was just playing for the fun of it. ;-) Go here to play the Chinese Fortunestick Game or here to play the the Contest games. Here is a Karaoke page with some great Beethoven links. (scroll to the bottom of the page for the links) Go to this Beethoven link that has some of the most interesting documents on Beethoven's autopsy and the probable causes of his death. How on earth did the Karaoke page turn into the death of Beethoven? Oh well, it was a very interesting read nonetheless.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birthday is January the 27th. Here are some links that can be used in your composer studies this month.

A Mozart Page that has very succinct info and an opening song, Mozart Serenade 13, which happens to be one of my all time favorite pieces by Mozart. Ah, Mozart!

If you are looking for more Mozart midis, then this site has a nice but small collection. One of the links provided at the Safe Heaven site is the Mozart Project. This is a very nice site. Be sure to visit it. Another link suggested at the Safe Heaven site is Tom Ziegler's Mozart Site which has some interesting links and information on things such as Mozart in the movies and Mozart t-shirts. My kind of place. :-)

And last but definitely not least, Salzburg's Mozart page which, I'm sure you already know, is Mozart's birthplace.

Miscellaneous Stuff
