Recorder ResourcesI'm sure there are many wonderful resources for teaching the recorder and I will list some of those suggested by readers of this topic and also from the music listservs. MY choice in teaching the recorder lie almost completely in using these two resources. Visit Glenn's site if you are wanting some great recorder resources. The Cambridge Companion to the Recorder (Cambridge Companions to Music) Playing Recorder Sonatas: Interpretation and Technique A guide to playing the Recorder Recorder Teaching: A Classroom Approach Ed Sueta Recorder Method CD is available. Windsongs is published by Empire Music in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. It costs about $3.50 to $4 for the first book of the series. They have very good service, found at 1-800-663-5979. There are six books in the series. It is written for Orff or Kodaly programs. Carol King's, Recorder Route Unfortunately, I was unable to find anything on the products listed directly above via the WWW. Perhaps your local bookstore or music store will have them for your perusal. The International Recorder Page A wonderful site with tricks and tips for the beginning recorder student as well as a great list of links. He even offers multi-lingual information in Italian, German, French and Dutch. He's working on the Russian, Spanish and Japanese. There is also some sheet music available for downloading.
