Sum Of Witch Bits ???????????? (grin)For my money - if this stage of the project took a year it would be a year well spent. Do you need funding for this stage of development?...probably not! If as a group it was approached in this manner, a slow but steady development of ideas would emerge and the process of visual journaling would help create a stable basis from which to write the grant application. Ensure whole group input. Find out on the way what individual members hope to achieve. Put the application together showing the ways in which the mural will be of benefit to the whole community. This visual/talking process will assist you articulate your aims and goals as a community group. Through this process you will find you have the tools set out before you with which to approach sponsors and grant funding bodies. Have your journals at the ready. Your approach will convince them you have the skills to succeed. Okay! You have succeeded! You now have the money to buy equipment. You now have the skills to draw. You have access to information about how to get your images onto the wall. You have your ideas mapped out. And you are ready as a group to begin. How will you ensure that all who wish to be included can be included?
