hThere are so many neurological challenges. Disease diagnoses run from Parkinson's, Altzeimers, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Fibromalagia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to name a few.
Click here: http://www.neurologychannel.com/multiple... You can see how tricky this entire science is the medical researchers, medical chemists, neurologists and the patient. It is the physician's responsibility to pinpoint the symptoms and order the necessary tests to either confirm or rule out certain neurological maladies. The responsibility, however, is not totally resting on the shoulders of the physician. The patient has responsibilities also. It is the patient's responsibility to give the health professional a detailed list of symptoms to assist in the 'process of elimination'. Why don't we begin here and check out this link? http://www.msactivesource.com/msavProjec... I have to tell you that in the world of neurological conditions, it is key to obtain a specialist who is well-versed and continually educated in the specific condition you have. In today's world, we need decent insurance costs and coverage to have the quality coverage we deserve. These tests, albeit expensive, can be streamlined and made more cost-effective if only the health coverage wouldn't play Russian roulette with what IS covered and what ISN'T covered. How can the physician do the job of diagnosis if the tests are not covered? Sadly, there are doctors practicing, in good standing with great professional reputations, but I can tell you, you have to ask and shop and research for the physician who is going to provide you the best care. I was horrified to learn that my husband's primary care physician told him that Multiple Sclerosis is not 'truly' a 'real' disease. (this all but called me/and my neurologist, I guess liars!). I was mortified to find, after a few subsequent research endeavors that there are many paren'tans who aren't up to snuff on the many diseases presented, only to misdiagnose or ignore symptoms that are screaming for treatment. Now I know we live in times where money is not abundant for most of us, jobs are scarce and insurance is tricky and expensive at best. This list will hopefully clear the cobwebs of http://my.dirmd.com/pages/dir/searsearch... confusion to those in search of proper and appropriate treatment for multiple sclerosis. Go To Page: 1
