Mind Chatter - The Key To Becomingwas. I believed that no one had ever had the same struggle as I had. I felt unique, and in my uniqueness I forestalled my healing for quite a while. Nevertheless, when my terminal uniqueness came face to face with the twelve steps and those who had actually done them, I began to realize that in my struggle to remain positive, at any cost, I had forced myself into alcoholism. That was when I learned about polarization. That was when I realized that when I polarize a situation, I generate a struggle for myself. That was when I learned that there is no bad or good, no positive and negative beyond that which we assign to things. There are forces, and those forces do maintain balance, but they are neither bad or good, Divine or Evil. The secret to tapping into the power of mind chatter and thought forms is to assign to them only what you want, letting go of what you don't want. What you want is neither good or bad, but rather it is usable, workable, appropriate and expedient. If it turns out that it isn't what you really wanted, you are not struggling with anything and can easily change your tack. I realize that this is a little difficult to understand, and that is why I have addressed it in terms of mind chatter. You know how irritating and distracting it can be at times. You know how it can press you into panic. You know it's power. And, because so much of our energy is tied up in it, whether we like it or not, learning to focus and utilize that energy would give us the power to literally transform ourselves. Nevertheless, It has little to do with positive thinking and everything to do with how one thinks, what one believes and how honest they are with themselves and others. So, step number one in taking back all this power is to uncover the lies upon which most of your mind chatter is based. Whenever your mind chatter is self deprecating, self destructive or in any way abusive toward yourself and others, it is generally based upon lies or partial truths that you were taught in early childhood. Discovering the events which gave rise to these lies and partial truths and coming to terms with them is the most important thing you can do to free yourself from their power over you. Step number two is to counter those lies or self-destructive, abusive thoughts with their opposite, or antithesis. This can be done through mantras and affirmations, as well as simply countering the
