As the New Year arrives, so does new technology. For those who are obsessed with gadgets and want to be like James Bond Siemens Information and Communication Mobile announces its new SX56 Windows Powered Pocket PC Phone.

The SX56 combines the functionality of a mobile phone, PDA and Pocket PC in one product. Also contains Internet access and Microsoft Office with a 4096-color touch screen. Thanks to the 900/1900 MHz GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) the SX56 can boast high-speed data transfer rates while easily synchronizing with users' Windows-based personal computers. Siemens will offer the phone in an enterprise version and a small office/home office (SOHO), consumer version.

The SX56 also offers text messaging, memo recording and a short message dialler, as well as an MP3 stereo player, extra memory slot and infrared data (IrDA) interface. Optional accessories include a folding keyboard, a thumb keyboard, USB cable and 2.5 mm stereo headset with microphone.
