The popularity of MP3 players has become so great; mobile phone manufacturers have now bought into the portable MP3 player market.

Major mobile phone manufacturers such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung have raced to release their own version of MP3 players for their brand of phones. Ericsson and Nokia MP3 players have to be purchased as a separate plug-in, while the Samsung phones have built in MP3 players.

MP3 Handsfree HPM-10 is one of the smallest MP3 players on the market and the first designed for use by a mobile phone. The device takes up little space almost weighs nothing and comes complete with a 32MB standard MMC and stereo earphones with portable handsfree functionality. As a call comes through the music will automatically pause.

The kit includes a MMC adapter (this is needed when reading and writing to the MMC from a PC), a CD-ROM with MP3 software and user guide and a MP3 player naturally designed to match your phones colour & design.

The handset contains the operational keystrokes and the power supply for the MP3 player. It is a very straight forward once connected to the phone; a users guide is supplied for any help in connecting and using the device.

The Ericsson MP3 Handsfree HPM-10 is compatible with the T28, R320, R310, A2618, and T65.

Nokia’s own MP3 player features a built in FM radio a digital music player and functioning at the same time as a hands-free headset.

The kit includes a 32 MB removable memory card on which you can store and play up to one hour of AAC or MP3 music files. The Audio Manager software included with the player is used to encode CD's into high-quality AAC format and a USB cable for fast uploading from your PC. The Music Player's built-in display will help you keep track of what you're listening to by showing the available track information, or the channel of the radio station you're tuned into. The player also can work as a stand-alone device without the phone powered by a single AAA battery.

The Nokia Music Player also double as a hands-free headset so you can answer calls without even touching your phone. With the built-in microphone, voice dialling is also allowed and the Music Player will automatically pause the song when you receive a call, and resume again when you hang up.

Nokia’s Music Player is compatible with the 3310, 3330, 5210, 6510, 8210, 8310, 8850 and 8890 mobile phones.
