Now Panasonic has entered the MP3 market with its compact, lightweight e-wear MP3 player. Panasonic has launched it’s new line of e-wear MP3 players, a portable player so small and lightweight you wear it on your sleeve or anywhere else. The MP3 player is at 1-11/16 in. wide x 1 in. tall x 11/16 in. deep, and only 0.92 ounces, without battery, the SD-enabled SV-SD80 is currently the smallest digital audio device that uses removable media. The device’s size and power is due to its SD memory card format, which is a size of a postage stamp. The memory card is a removable medium with high-speed data transmission and a large storage capacity. Storage capacity in the SV-SD80 is a 64MB SD memory card that can hold 64 minutes of near CD-quality music in High Quality Mode. In Extended Play Mode another 129 minutes is available. To extend your listening pleasure, up to 50 hours uninterrupted, the e-wear MP3 players has its rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) battery and one AAA alkaline battery. The player is accompanied with Panasonic SD audio PC recoding kit, which is an enhanced version of Real Network’s popular RealJukebox software and with a reader/writer that connects to a PC’s USB port. With the software users can rip tracks to make their own CDs or download music from the Internet. The formats the player supports are WMA (Windows Media Audio) and ACC (Advanced Audio Coding) encoded music. The player can be worn around the neck using the included lanyard, or on the arm or wrist via the adjustable, snug-fitting armband. The MP3 player is equipped with a in-the-ear headphones, an extra headphone extension cord, a protective carrying case, 64MB SD memory card, and a rechargeable NIMH batter and charger.
