Most players today are SDMI compliant. Make sure you check that the player you are buying is SDMI compliant or you will not be able to play SDMI watermarked files.

Accessories
Make sure you check the accessories that accompany your MP3 player. You can save money by not buying additional cigarette lighter adapters or headphones separately. Carry cases are not a major necessity, as many MP3 players do not have moving parts, it generally can take more abuse than portable CD players.

Price Range
Prices for MP3 players can vary widely depending on the extra features and the amount of memory you choose. Low-end players with limited features and 32MB of memory can sell around $150AUD, while 32MB with more features goes for between $200 and $450AUD. Players with 64MB cost between $500 and $850AUD.
