ULTRAVIOLET: It's British!!!

It has been well documented in this column and various police records that I have an undying love for horror films. It’s not that I enjoy seeing people impaled on things or being generally terrorized, it’s just that when I see a movie, I want it to effect me in some way. Now, granted, comedies can make you laugh and dramas can make you cry, but it’s only the horror film that can make you refuse to walk to your car by yourself because you parked by a large bush that might be hiding a maniac of the axe-wielding variety. On his advice, I checked it out and really, the only word for the occasion is, “Wow.” ULTRAVIOLET is the story of a team of British government agents (think Mulder and Scully with better funding and more of them) that hunt down an “infected” portion of the population. Now, these people that are infected have a few very unusual traits. They’re allergic to sunlight, they drink blood, they can be killed by stakes through the heart and they cast no
