To make movies is to make magic. Some movies, like "An Officer and a Gentleman," become part of Hollywood history and are beloved by the public at large. Somehow, finding out that the goings-on behind the scenes weren't perfect only makes it more endearing. It proves a tried and true storytelling technique - a struggle that leads to a happy ending.
