This doesn't have a great energy level either, and almost all of the bits with Rees and Lewis aren't funny. Still, there are enough laughs to get by, and Elwes makes a good Robin Hood, knowing how to be both straight and comedic. MEN IN TIGHTS might not be Brooks' best film, but it does return him to the top of his game.
