Big Eyes
Before Cyborgs and Terminators, Lindsay Wagner led the way with bionic co-star Lee Majors as a multi-million dollar creation with super strength working to save us all.

Lindsay grew up, like all children, without super powers but she possessed determination and a desire to act. She was born in Los Angeles on June 22, 1949 to Bill (professional photographer) and Marilyn Wagner. Her parents divorced when she was seven and she moved with her mother to Eagle Rock (L.A. suburb). By the age of twelve she had joined an acting class and found the freedom to hide within stage characters.

Plagued with a hidden secret of dyslexia, which was not defined in her life till later years. Lindsay had coped with her reading inabilities and made it to the stage by memorization. Early on she had been offered a lead role for a TV series, but was convinced she needed more experience.

By the age of 13, she became a Nina Blanchard model and began suffering from ulcers, a condition that lasted until she was 21. Dyslexia had taken its toll on Lindsay, though she had discovered that the stage gave her a freedom to express and live without fear.

Despite her reading disability she managed to be a good academic student and even attended Mt. Hood Community College in Portland, Oregon. Lindsay never did cold reading auditions. She had always managed to obtain the script before hand and hid her dyslexia. She had set a goal for Hollywood and managed to get a part on Marcus Welby, M.D., which led to further roles.

Lindsay married music publisher Allan Rider in 1971. She was divorced in 1973 and stared in her first move Two People (1973) the role of a model who becomes involved with Peter Fonda, an army deserter. That same year she was in the movie The Paper Chase (1973) with Timothy Bottoms.

We can all relate to the movie that led to the TV series The Bionic Woman (1975) where she plays the character Jaime Sommers, a former tennis pro made bionic and co-stared the famous Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors. Her character was so loved, with her dog Max, that she gained her own series by popular demand.

In 1976 she appeared in an action adventure movie, High Risk, and that same year married for a second time to actor/writer Michael Brandon -- whom she met in acting classes.
