Farrah Fawcett -- The Blonde Beauty

Farrah didn’t let the TV type casting capture her by quickly appearing in three movies Logan’s Run (1976), Sunburn (1979), and Saturn 3 (1980). These roles didn’t give her the gravity as an actress that she wanted to establish until she starred in Murder in Texas (1981).

Farrah struggled with her marriage and career as her popularity grew with poster releases and Charlie’s Angels, her marriage suffered with her independence and she divorced Lee Majors in 1982 (9-year marriage).

She turned her sights on off-Broadway in the production of Extermities (1983) where she was highly acclaimed in the lead role.

Farrah began a 15 year relationship (1985 – 1997) with Ryan O’Neal which produced a son, Redmond James O'Neal. By 1984, Farrah was gaining character roles that she desired one of which led her to a Emmy nomination for The Burning Bed (1984) about lethal domestic violence in which she starred and produced.

This ground breaking movie led to other character roles in TV movies such as Poor Little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story (1987), Double Exposure: The Story of Margaret Bourge-White (1989), Criminal Behavior (1992), and The Substitute Wife (1994).

At the age of 48, Farrah (1995) posed topless in Playboy Magazine and it became the most popular issue in the magazine’s history.

Shortly after her break up with O’Neal, she dated Hollywood director James Orr, who was subsequently arrested (1998) for assault and battery.

Her latest movie is Jewel (2001- TV Drama) about a woman’s struggle to obtain help with a special child.

Whether she is topless in Playboy or staring in dramatic roles, this Blonde Bombshell has made a place in Hollywood where legends come to life. Farrah is a classic beauty with intellect and talent -- a definite credit to blonds of the world.
