James Garner romanced her in the romantic comedy Murphy's Romance (1985). Tom Hanks encourages her to be a stand-up comedic in the movie, Punchline (1988). Then came the best of all movies, a dramatic comedy that will really touch one's heart is my all-time favorite, Steel Magnolias (1989).

A very dramatic role for her was Not Without My Daughter (1991) in which she is an American woman trapped in Islamic Iran by her brutish husband and must find a way to escape Iran with her daughter. Another comedy was Soapdish (1991) in which an ambitious TV soap actress connives with her producer to undermine the career of the show's long-time star, but nothing works as they plan.

In Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), there are no holds barred on this movie with Robin Williams, who disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend secret time with his children held in custody by his ex. This movie grossed over $219 million--that's no laugh. This movie was quickly topped by Forrest Gump (1994) which grossed $329 million plus.

In 1996, Eye for an Eye was released. Sally Field fights back over the rape and murder of her daughter. Her newest movie is Where the Heart Is (2000), in which a pregnant 17-year-old rebuilds her life after being abandoned by her boyfriend at a Wal-Mart. These are just a few of the outstanding works by this woman.

She has many credits to her name with over 15 TV guest appearances on shows like Murphy Brown (1988) to Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969). Sally Field has been it all from producer and director of six films, and actress with major roles in some 51 major movies. Sally is an outstanding woman whose comedic and dramatic talents will always make you laugh and cry..
