Demi Moore has beauty, smarts and talent that holds many captive to the screen with her movies. If you are a romantic at heart, you have the classic comic/thriller/romance movie -- Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
Her stellar performance made blockbuster headlines and cast the die of her career as the movie grossed over $517 million world wide.
It wasn’t until the age of 14 she discovered that Danny Guynes was her stepfather. Her family life was not stable due to the fact of alcohol and abuse as Danny Guynes was a newspaper ad salesman and they had moved some 40 times until he committed suicide. With a rough start and not much support to any of her aspirations, Demi quit school at the age of sixteen and became a pin-up model in Europe. By the age of eighteen she was married to rock star Freddie Moore where she got her last name which only last about three years. Her first true break to the film screen was St. Elmo's Fire (1985) which truly was her saving grace. She was forced to agree and sign a contract stopping her alcohol and drug abuse while filming the movie. Unfortunately, she showed up high on the set and was fired. She has played the gamut of movie roles from comedy with Chevy Chase in Nothing But Trouble (1991), The Butcher's Wife (1991) to hard hitting thrillers with Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise in A Few Good Men (1992) and G.I. Jane (1997). In G.I. Jane she takes the lead role of a woman becoming the first Navy Seal and defines a relentless fortitude of not giving up. She defines drama in another romance The Scarlet Letter (1995) as she portrays the classic role of Hester Prynne. Another defining thriller was The Juror (1996) with Alec Baldwin as she struggles to survive her role on a jury during a major Mafia trial. Go To Page: 1 2
