In 1988 she teams up once again with William Hurt in The Accidental Tourist (romance / drama) and then with Michael Douglas.once more in The War of the Roses (1989). Leading men have been a strength of her box-office appeal.
Kathleen’s voice is unmistakable when it comes to the cartoon character Jessica Rabbit in the three movies Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988, which she was un-credited), Roller Coaster Rabbit (1990) and The Best of Roger Rabbit (1996). It is her voice and looks that have been frequently compared to the legendary actress Lauren Bacall. Kathleen has been married twice. Her current husband is Jay Weiss with whom she has one daughter, Rachael Ann Weiss. Her career is not only movies but the stage, the stared in the lead role in Tennessee Williams Cat on a Hot Tin Roof which led to the nomination for Broadway's 1990 Tony Award as Best Actress. Like most people of fame she has had some set backs, her's being with alcohol and rheumatoid arthritis; but you can’t find a more gracious and vibrant actress on the big screen. Her latest movie endeavors are: The Virgin Suicides (1999 / mystery), Prince of Central Park (2000 / action), Without Love (2004) and Monster House (horror / adventure/ drama) scheduled to be released in 2006.
