Two notable movies in which to catch Sharon Stone are, Basic Instincts (1992) staring Michael Douglas. In this film she will always be noted for the seductive scene of crossing her legs during a murder interrogation. It has become a tramp steretype film moment that she has since tried to escape. Sliver (1993) was another landmark film of seduction, cameras and a thriller that made you watch the screen. Sharon has been married and divorced four times. Her last husband was Phil Bronstein, an editor of the San Francisco Examiner; both adopted a son, but sadly divorced this past year (2004). Her stardom brought her the spot light with major male actors like Sylvester Stallone in the Specialist (1994), Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte in Simpatico (1999) and Russell Crowe in the Quick and the Dead (1995) in which her own brother, Mike Stone, co-stared in. With fame and fortune comes responsibilities and Sharon Stone is one who is more than willing to help her fellow man. In one instance she stood up and challenged others at The Davos World Economic Forum on debt relief. Encouraging them to donate money to purchase bed netting to protect African children from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. On the spar of the moment she was able to raise $1 million in five minutes. A single passionate kiss to a fan secured the donation of $50,000 to fund meals for the homeless. Character is a part of her personality; her caring for others and her acting talent has brought her dreams beyond Meadville, PA. With several movies leading to the new century, some notable ones to see are Cold Creek Manor (2004) with Dennis Quaid, a dark thriller with a house full of secrets. Sharon co-stars in Catwoman (2004) with Halle Berry. Currently Stone has four movies being released in 2005 and 2006. The titles are: Alpha Dog (2005) post production, Untitled Jim Jarmusch Project (2005), a sequel, Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction (2005) and Cougars (2006). If there was ever to be a classic star of her time, Sharon Stone will be remembered as such in years to come. She lives in Beverly Hills in a gated French chateau.
