Diane Keaton - Getting Better With Age
Some great movies come with maturity. She has appeared in the romantic story Baby Boom (1987) as a high executive who becomes guardian to a baby and moving to the country and finds love and success. The Father of the Bride (1991) with the comedic Steve Martin and then again in The Father of the Bride II (1995) were good successes also. The First Wives Club (1996) stared an unforgettable trio, Diane Keaton, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn, who are old college friends that unite to gain revenge on their husbands. Another trio movie is Hanging Up (2000) staring Diane, Meg Ryan and Lisa Kudrow where they are concerned for their crusty father Walter Matthau. A touching movie and one to see with Diane Keaton is The Other Sister (1999) where she plays the mother of a mentally retarded girl who dreams of finding love and is married. Diane’s private life is pretty much that. She has never married and has two adopted children. She had directed (episode of Twin Peaks and China Beach to name a few), won awards and nominations. Without a doubt her career is still climbing. One movie was Something’s Gotta Give (2003) staring Jack Nicholson and Keanu Reeves. Some of her latest movie projects are: Hating Her (2005) , Da Vinci's Mother (2005), Mad Money (2005) and Dorothy Surrender (2005) all to be released this coming year.
