If the saying, “things are better with age”, is true; then this surely applies to Diane Keaton, whose real name is Diane Hall.
There is something about her acting that makes the viewer relate to the characters she portrays. She draws you into that world and gives one a sense of realism. Diane was destined for acting as she began early guest appearances in TV shows like, Love American Style, Night Gallery, The FBI and Mannix during the 1970 and 1971. A group of movies that one does not equate to Diane Keaton is The Godfather (1972) where she played the character Kay Adams who is the girlfriend of Don Vito's (Marlon Brando) youngest son. This first major, major movie became a classic. Diane received $35,000. Diane Keaton is also well associated with Woody Allen and his films. She first appeared in Woody Allen film, Sleeper (1973 / comedy) based on Orgasmatron booths to replace sex and confessional robots. Who says you can’t sell anything to Hollywood? A real hard-hitting movie was with Richard Gere in Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977), she plays Theresa, a deaf teacher to children, whose loneliness leads her to dangerous paths of one night stands and bar hopping. This movie raised a lot of eyebrows at the time it was released but is a classic standard today. Diane was at one time involved with Warren Beatty and she appeared in his movie REDS (1981), this movie was not a huge success but is well worth seeing. Go To Page: 1 2
