One great movie that you might want to try is Through the Eyes of a Killer (1992) which is another made for TV movie but it is a drama / suspense that is worth the time. Anderson plays a contractor upgrading a woman’s apartment and he builds passages within the walls . . . well you get the point. This was a good flick.

Anderson returned to the genre of TV series and he landed another winner with a science fiction, SG-1 Stargate that was based upon the Kurt Russel hit, Stargate movie in (1994). As the character Jack O'Neill discovering other worlds through the transport of the Egyptian Stargate he found a lasting fame. The pilot movie for the series was Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods (1997).

Richard Anderson not only is an accomplished actor but a clever entrepreneur of his own production company (with his partner Michael Greenburg) Gekko Film Corp. With Gekko Film Corp., Anderson has been able to be an actor, producer and composer and to launch movie productions of his own.

Richard lives both in Vancouver and near Los Angeles, as well as owning a cabin in northern Minnesota. He has never married loves hockey and dogs. In 1996, Richard met Apryl Prose, and together they celebrated the birth of Wylie Quinn Annarose Anderson, a daughter, on August 2, 1998.

His latest endeavors are: Firehouse (1997, drama) and Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game (1997, adventure, sci-fi). With SG-1 Stargate in its current eighth year season Anderson has his work cut out for him.

A private man and humble hero of television has become a recognized face from the 80’s to the new millennium.

MacGyver was one of my favorite characters on TV. Too bad it is no longer running.
