The new release "Sweet November" is not the first film in which Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron worked together. They spent time as Kevin and Mary Ann Lomax in the 1997 film "The Devil's Advocate". Kevin, a Florida attorney who has never lost a case, is recruited by a New York law firm where Al Pacino steals the show as John Milton, Kevin's boss. Mary Ann begins to hate their life in New York and starts to question her own sanity as strange things begin to happen to her; Kevin begins to question his own situation as things become more and more bizarre. Then Milton throws his real persona into the story and…well you'll have to see it to find out.
Memorable quotes from "The Devil's Advocate"…
John Milton: Vanity, definitely my favorite sin.
Kevin: Is this a test?
Pam: Isn't everything?
John Milton: Guilt is just a bag of…bricks. All ya gotta do is set it down.
Mary Ann: I know we've got all this money and it's supposed to be OK, but it's not.
Kevin Lomax: Free will after all.
John Milton: The worst vice is advice.
Although the roles Reeves and Theron fill these movies are not that different in the two films, Reeves as a successful businessman and Theron as his love interest, the films themselves are dramatically different. Simply said, one reveals the power of good and the other the power of evil. Don't miss the good in "Sweet November", in theaters now.
In the film, Reeves is Nelson Moss, a workaholic who spends some time in the DMV with Sara Deever, Theron's Character. Their time there will lead to a one month trial period relationship that will change their lives forever.
