Often times the thing that sticks with you most when leaving the movie theatre is one of the songs played during the film. The lyrics can tell as much of a story as the movie and are often the thing you remember most.

Disney has done a marvelous job when it comes to making songs an important part of their films. This ability has resulted in several Oscar nominations and wins for Best Original Song. This year, 'You'll Be in My Heart' from Tarzan, is nominated for a Best Original Song Academy Award. The song took home a Golden Globe in this category and is hoping for a win on March 26th.

The other nominees in this category are:

Blame Canada from South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
Music of My Heart from Music of the Heart
Save Me from Magnolia
When She Loved Me from Toy Story 2

A few memorable lines from past Disney winners:

Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas, 1995)

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew

Have you ever heard a wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Can You Feel the Love Tonight (The Lion King, 1994)

Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

A Whole New World (Aladdin, 1992)

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast, 1991)

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong
Certain as the sun
Rising in the east
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

Under the Sea (The Little Mermaid, 1989)

The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else's lake
You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake
Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor
Such wonderful things surround you
What more is you lookin' for?

Under the sea
