Don’t Try Me To Try The Moon - Part 3 of 3

Look at us, we line up for it every day for it in front of our television sets, the radios in our automobiles and in my case, the morning newspaper. "OK, Let's see here, what do I need to be afraid of today? Yea, lots of good things, there's the war on terror, some kind of virus, the stock market. Boy, life sure was a lot easier when we could blame everything on the Russians. I sure miss those days. The thing is that, what I believe is that, all these things we are suppose to be fearful about are just the things we are afraid of now. The things we've selected as sort of a soup de jour, fear de jour. Unless we really change what's important to us we are in for more fearful living until of course we scare ourselves to death literally. We can become so afraid of others that, they sensing our fear of them, begin to fear us equally and believe we our out to get them like they are out to get us. We get to the point that we both need to get them first or we won't have a chance. All because our way of thinking is so right and there way of thinking is so wrong. What a mess!

No messes or such foolish thinking is allowed out on the bike path. Well maybe a little silly thinking would be OK. Do this for me. Think of it as a mental exercise. That's what it is. Picture a person in the world who you are most afraid of for whatever reason or if you rather, pick a bunch of people who you fear. It won't matter. Got it? Got that persons' face in front of you? Good deal! Now imagine that person wearing a mountain biking helmet. Now, keep going, he's coming towards you on a single-track mountain bike trail riding a dual suspension bike. There's just enough room for the two of you to pass comfortably by each other. What do you do? What do you think is going to happen? It's an absolutely beautiful day.

Everybody you've passed this morning has commented on just that fact. Now this person who you are most afraid of but you've never actually met makes eye contact with you and says, "Good Morning, What a beautiful day." The bike he' is riding is just
